Leah Shutkever Ate a Whole Burrito in 30.75 Seconds and I Am Reconsidering My Career

September 28, 2026 • Moe Train Eats

Professional eater Leah Shutkever just reclaimed her Guinness World Record for fastest time to eat a burrito: 30.75 seconds. Let that number sit with you. That is barely enough time to microwave the thing, let alone eat it. She holds forty-two eating records, which means there are forty-two food items in this world that have learned to fear her name.

But she did not stop there. Same session at Guinness HQ in London, she also set the record for most churros eaten in one minute, eight of them, and most strawberries eaten in one minute, a cool 1.35 pounds of them. The strawberries one is honestly the most violent. Eight churros is impressive. Over a pound of strawberries in sixty seconds is a crime against dessert.

What I love about this is her origin story. She started a YouTube food challenge channel, tried the fastest Chocolate Orange record for fun, got contacted by a TV show, broke it on stage, and has been chasing the euphoria ever since. That is how legends are made. Not in boardrooms. In burritos.

Respect. Some people run marathons. Leah runs the burrito gauntlet. Both are endurance sports.
